Airspace World 2025, held in Lisbon from May 13–15, emerged as a pivotal event spotlighting the integration of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into contemporary airspace frameworks. A central theme of the forum was the advancement of flow management systems essential for the seamless operation of eVTOLs and other next-generation aircraft within urban environments. Notably, sessions such as "A roadmap towards ATM Services for Advanced Air Mobility" and "Advanced Air Mobility and Vertiport Control – Testing milestones and learnings" delved into the development of Air Traffic Management (ATM) services tailored for AAM, emphasizing the importance of vertiport control and the integration of new technologies to ensure safety and efficiency.
These discussions underscored the necessity for collaborative efforts among industry stakeholders to address the complexities of integrating UAM and AAM into existing airspace, highlighting the role of innovative flow management solutions in shaping the future of urban aviation.
